For mom, there is nothing you won’t do. When it comes to showing how much she means to you, it gets complicated. Most moms are happy with homemade creations when their children are young, and most will tell you that they prefer this type of gift. When we get older, however, we feel rather silly about presenting our mothers with scribbled drawings, especially if we can’t draw very well.

In our family, you see, birthdays were a time for getting extravagant and elaborate presents.
