Mail Order Brides – Old Idea Still Going Strong
Middle class American men have a long history of looking to so-called mail order brides to provide wives for rural areas, mining camps, soldiers, and factory laborers. Times have changed.
Even for the richest American men, marrying a Russian or Brazilian woman with model beauty and professional education is rather easy. The Internet has simplified the manner of winning a woman who is younger, taller, prettier, smarter, sexier, and better-educated than one can attract at home.
The girl next door can now reside anywhere in the world – from Moscow to Beijing to Manila.
Although I believe this to be the golden age of email order brides – and not a means for nerdy or evil males to exploit disadvantaged or docile females – I believe the opportunity will be concluding inside 5 to 10 years.
Reasons why:
1. Oil
Governments lie when it comes to oil reserves, peak oil, and future prices for gasoline. We do not determing how high costs will go.
Electricity would be able to be produced for your home or electric automobile from solar, wind, or geothermal resources, but airplanes require gasoline. Lots of it.
Worldwide travel by passenger jet could become very expensive and out of the reach of the typical man searching for a mail order bride.
2. International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 (IMBRA)
The International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 (IMBRA) demands background checks on American men planning to file immigrant or fiancee visa petitions for foreign women – if they met through an international marriage agency.
Marriage agencies with over 50% U.S. clients are exempt from IMBRA.
An International Marriage Broker (IMB) is an entity – U.S. or foreign based – that supplies matchmaking or social referrals between U.S. citizens/permanent residents and foreign nationals for a fee.
Passed in the wake of the Anastasia King murder allegedly to protect foreign brides, all it does is take away privacy, free speech, and freedom of assembly from American men.
International Marriage Brokers are required to:
- search U.S. sex offender public registries for information on the U.S. clients
- collect criminal and marital background information on the American man, including how prior marriages ended
- present this information to the foreign bride in her native language
- provide foreign clients with a government produced pamphlet detailing her legal rights in the United States
- obtain the foreign client’s signed consent to release her personal information to the U.S. client
- limit of 2 fiance(e) visa petitions with at least 2 years between filings
While it should be easy to skirt the law, why force Americans to lie to marry the woman of their dreams?
As the world economy gets worse, expect even more restrictive immigration laws.
Anastasia King is not the only bride to fall victim to an evil and sinister spouse. If this is so vital for foreign fiancees, why not make a law that applies to all women?
American men are being vilified by their own government to satisfy a feminist agenda.
No disclosures protect American women from American men with criminal pasts. And you have that pesky Constitution (what’s still enforced).
Good intentions make bad law. IMBRA is a poster child for unnecessary and flawed regulations.
If gay marriage becomes law and opens same-sex spouses to immigration benefits, you can expect Congress to make it exceptionally difficult for anyone to bring a spouse home.
Win your Russian, Ukrainian, or Latvian mail order wife before it becomes an impractical ordeal.
3. American Men Still a Catch
For many foreign women, American husbands are still considered a excellent catch and a desirable match. Go figure.
I’m not sure if I am thrilled or frightened.
Many foreign women view American men as better husbands, and not only on a economic level. Hollywood movies showing women’s equality inside marriage and relationships have no doubt added to the perceptions.
After a pair of divorces, I have become more cynical concerning marriage. As an alternative of falling into a relationship, why not hunt for exactly what you desire without neighborhood fix-ups or sorting through women in bars.
My suggestions:
For younger men, girls from Russia, the Ukraine, and the former Soviet Republics, are the sexiest and most beautiful females on the planet.
Go for it. Don’t apologize or settle. One will see so many who are the right age, well-educated, and whose looks blow you away.
Caveat – keep an eye on the age differences. For Russian women, a 10 to 15 year age difference should not be an issue. A larger age disparity could be risky.
For older or more traditional gentlemen, nothing beats the Philippines. Filipinas are the most devout, family oriented females I have ever lived among.
Age differences are not much of a problem in the Philippines. A Filipina will stay married as long as she can. While a Vice-Consul in Manila, I have approved visas for brides 50+ years younger than their American husbands.
For men who have pensions or Social Security, I would consider living in the Philippines with a young bride. Her country might be a better place to live. A “fixed income” that barely covers living costs can offer a very comfortable lifestyle in many countries.
Golden Age:
I believe the window for finding your mail order wife will close within 5 to 10 years. Act before costs and additional government regulations further curb your freedom.
The public stock of American men will never be higher.
You will never be able to attract a more desirable wife or mother for your children.
For the reasons stated, you will never be able to appeal to women of existing mail order bride quality ever again.
Before governments and busybodies once again interfere in the course of love, marriage, and family, seize your perfect mail order wife.
Dating, romance, and marriage have changed forever.
You can initiate your hunt for the perfect bride at Russian Mail Order Wife.
